James Douglas Morrison as Jim Morrison was born in Melbourne, Florida, on December 8, 1943.
James was interested in literature, he excelled at school and he studied theatre arts at the University of California. He was best known as singer, songwriter, and poet, and is considered one of the most sympathetic front men in the history of rock music. Morrison died in Paris, France at the age of 27 (3 July 1971). The death and burial are not fully known. Morrison's death at a young age helped that he is kept immortal.
Morrison with his friends Ray Manzarek, keyboardist, John Densmore, drummer, and Robbie Kriger, guitarist, he formed a group which was in 1965 called The Doors. Its name was taken from Aldous Huxley's book on mescaline, The Doors of Perception, written by William Blake.
One event that was very important for his life happened when he was a child because one day when his family was traveling, he and his parents came across of an accident in the desert, way for New Mexico. Morrison was afraid. He came to believe that the souls of the Indians were running around, and that one had leaped into him.
After of this, his parents told him he was "just having a bad dream". Since then Morrison made repeated references to it in the imagery in his songs, poems, and interviews. He loved it.
Some concerts that he interviewed, he has scandals and for three occasions was arrested.
In his infancy and teenager too Morrison had a lot of personality’s problems. . Maybe, this made him an insecurity person and next he had consumed drugs (LSD, cocaine, cannabis y peyote), but Morrison was original and his songs are very beauty and his poems are interesting.
Hi, I write because "The Doors" is my favorite group. I love how they combine rock and blues music. I think they're really good. It's sad that "The lizard King" had died too young.
