GLOBAL WARMING

Increase of the temperature of the Earth due by the use of fossil fuels and other industrial processes that take to an accumulation of gases hothouse, specially dioxide of carbon in the atmosphere. In fact, the United States emits more dioxide of carbon than the China, the India and the Japan.

Higher temperatures threaten dangerous consequences: drought, disease, floods, lost ecosystems. And from sweltering heat to rising seas, global warming's effects have already begun. There are many changes for example : Global mean sea level has been rising at an average rate of 1 to 2 mm/year over the past 100 years, which is significantly larger than the rate averaged over the last several thousand years. Projected increase from 1990-2100 is anywhere from 0.09-0.88 meters, depending on which greenhouse gas scenario is used and many physical uncertainties in contributions to sea-level rise from a variety of frozen and unfrozen water sources.

But solutions are in sight. We know where most heat-trapping gases come from: power plants and vehicles. And we know how to curb their emissions: modern technologies and stronger laws.

Hi alexandra... I read your article, and I think that the final part is interesting. Global Warming is already a fact, but we still can look for solutiones that can help the planet. Simple things like saving energy or taking care of the forest would help the ecosystem.

I think the same about how you can save the world! this article teaching us to be carefull to help to avoid the contamination, begining from our home.
